NEWS

COSTA RICA - Just got back from Costa Rica on Tour for the US Embassy with Gina Chavez.  What a wonderful country... and they really like music.  We played for the Embassy's 4th of July party, a large diversity parade of around 10,000 people, an auditorium of about 1000 screaming teenagers and spent time in the most impoverished place in San Jose called Carpio.  I'll blog about that experience in more depth, but it was a true spirit and perspective changing moment.

CHICAGO - We played to around 4000 people from the magnificent stage of the Millennium Park's Pavilion and then to the Gobbler Theater near the border in Wisconsin.  It has a rotating bar.  They treated us great with a full spread for lunch and dinner.  First time I have played to a crowd that is in a circle!

New York, Philly, D.C. -  We have toured twice now through these parts late last year in 2015 and early 2016.  Great venues and fans alike.

In November 2015 we hit Philly, D.C. and NYC.  We played the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage. https://m.kennedy-center.org/home/play/M6538

It was a great show and a wonderfully full house with folks who got up and danced!

In 2015 we played an NPR Tiny Desk at NPR headquarters, the XPN Fest in Philly and Joe's Pub in New York City.  It was a blast and can't wait to hit the road with that crew again.   http://www.npr.org/event/music/441220834/gina-chavez-tiny-desk-concert

I recommend visiting Tiny Desk now given the great music already posted. A lot of wonderful artists are up and ready to watch for free!  (Punch Brothers, Death Cab for Cutie, Kacey Musgraves to name a few)  It's a great bookmark to have.
